Catalogue note
The enamelled radiator badge of oval form with the red Bugatti script on a white ground, together with a canvas works toolroll containing eleven original Bugatti-stamped spanners, a plug spanner and a grease gun.
The badge retains approximately 85 percent of its original enamel with losses at the lower edge and a stable hairline through the upper field. The toolroll is complete to the pattern illustrated in the 1926 works handbook, with honest oil staining and the original leather ties intact.
Offered without reserve. Ettore Bugatti had the toolkits made to the same drawings as the cars, which is precisely the sort of decision that explains both the marque and its accounts.
